What It Takes to Open a Burger Franchise in Mexico

When it comes to Mexico, we’re looking for an experienced multi-unit franchise operator preferably with experience in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry.

Due to the unique expenses of bringing Jack in the Box to Mexico, we have three financial requirements all potential franchisees must meet:

• Franchise Fee: $50,000 per Location
• Minimum Liquidity: $2,500,000
• Minimum Net Worth: $5,000,000

You’ll also be responsible for receiving products from the United States and distributing them throughout your area.

Which Markets Are Available in Mexico?

Jack in the Box has entered into development agreements for six States in Mexico.

This means the following states are not currently available:

• Baja California
• Baja California Sur
• Chihuahua
• Coahuila
• Nuevo Leon
• Tamaulipas

However, the rest of the country is open for development agreements with new franchisees.
